Shipping Bettas

All Bettas are shipped on a day to suit the buyer so that you can ensure that you are at the delivery address to take delivery of your fish. We prefer to ship your Betta after a period of 24 hours fasting to ensure that there is a miniumum amount of waste in the water. Before shipping your fish will be placed into a mix of 25% tank water and 75% fresh water. You can check out how I ship the Bettas in the video clip featured on this page. I ship Monday to Thursday for Tuesday - Friday delivery. If you require Saturday delivery then the post office charges £2.50 extra. Posting on a Friday is no problem provided that you are willing to pay the extra. Please note: Bettas are always shipped in a small amount of water. What is important is the amount of air that is in the bag as Bettas breath the air from the surface not from the water like other fish. When Bettas come in from Thailand they have only 100ml of water. I normally ship mine in 250ml of water. As of 26/3/11 i have had just 2 DOA Bettas ut f over 300.
