September 7th : Well back to work this week after a six week break from school although with working on my new house it doesnrtt feel like it. Kids start back today so have and a couple of days peace and quiet to get things organised. Please remember that I am now back to work and as a consequence wont take phone calls during the day as I have my phone switrched off. E-mail is the best way to contact me as I do answer my e-mails if i have the time.
September 5th: Newsletter is now out, its back to work today after 6 weeks off although i feel like i havnt stopped working.
Sept 4th: Updated the website with a few more males so have added around 10 more males and females since yesterday. Will be adding a few more today as the day goes on. Thought id have a rest form doing the new house prior to going back to work tomorrow. I have some free swimming fry from my smokey blue pair of Angels. Bedroom ceiling was plastered yesterday so just waiting for that to dry before painting.
Sept 3rd: Just downloaded a few more males and females that I had floating around in the fishroom and hoping to add some more over the next day or so so keep an eye on the new ones coming on line.
Sept 2nd: Well this new batch has sold really quickly and im now concentrating on sending them out. Some great feedback from customers which can be seen here. Only have around 6 left now but I have lots of females in my fishroom which I must get around to photographing and on the site. Really pleased with this batch of Bettas as there was quite a variety of bettas in amongst them. If you misssd out on particular ones I can try to order you some just let me know. School holidays over this week so back to work next week. Wont have so much time on my hands, which i didnt have anyway with the house build anyway. So busy in the house i havnt had nuch time to check up on my Lo 46 and my Altum angels which are in a tank thats hard to view. The house build is way behind schedule as is normal on these things with just me working on it, I suppose thats bound to happen. Upstairs has come a long way with the front bedroom being plastered tonight and the back bedroom nearly ready for plastering. The bathroom is finished and once the plumber has soldered all the joints will be ready for the floor and the shower/bath/jaccuzi/steam room i bought from ebay. The kitchen is also waiting for the plumber to solder the joints and then its in with the kitchen units.
Aug 27th: New batch of Bettas now transferred to main stockpage for general release. If you have missed out its probably because you are not subsribed . Subscribers get to see the new stock before they go onto the main website and thats why many of them are often sold before they are listed for general viewing. If you have missed out then please let me know which fish you liked and i will try to order it in on the next batch. Work on my house stalled a bit yesterday becasue of my knee but i managed to lay the main gass pipe in the floor upstairs. Also cut the remaining plasterboard for main bedroom.
Aug 26th: New batch of Bettas now in photographed and on the website available only to subscribers at the moment. They will be linked in to main site on Saturday morning. Yesterday was a struggle to sort out getting them into the fishroom as I had a knee like a balloon and could hardly walk. Just got a new ipad2 which has helped , now I can watch tv and answer e-mails at the same time ( tv plugged into computer). Sold 1/3rd of the stock overnight so im guessing there wont be too many left to go on the main site after today. thanks to all of you who bought the Bettas. Also just bough a new camera so wiill be able to film again including the house build.
Aug 25th: New batch of imports in today, which i will be able to photograph on my new camcorder. Hooray!! I have some Ct's coming in, which i dont often get in and ive asked for something unusual for myself to breed so cant wait . I have a couple of grizzled yellow coming in, like the number 5 of July stock. Awful weather walking out to the fishroom this morning going to have to think about building some sort of sheltered path so i dont get soaked. The walk is not made easier by piles of building stuff in my garden awaiting collection. Plus the fact that my garage is full up with building supplies for the house. Building inspector came round yesterday and signed off all of my insulation and so its all hands on deck from today putting floors down in the bedroom and the ceiling up in the back bedroom. Kitchen ceiling was the first ceiling to be plastered yesterday.
Aug 22nd: Fry from the copper and blue pair with male tending nest. Just puting finishing touches to the overdue newsletter. Still working hard on my new house with the kitchen all plasterboarded and scrimmed up nearly ready for a coat of paint. Water and gas pipes in next. Insulation in loft and most of the first floor. Building inspector visiting tomorrow to check. Working from 8 in the morning to 8.30 at night so excuse me if im a bit late in answering e-mails.
Aug 19th: Sorting out a new batch of imports at the moment and just put a pair together to try to spawn. The male is a copper which I have bred myself and once he has spawned I will probably put him up for sale . The female is a steel blue and whnen I checked this morning she was at bursting point with eggs luckily. My Altum Angels are doing well and so are my new LO46 . Ive just had a pair of Platinum angels spawn yesterday and have two other pairs of Angels looking after their week old fry. 1 pair of silver and black striped and one pair of Sunset ghost. Still waiting for both pairs of Pinnoy angels to spawn but they are showing signs. Also noticed a male Albino Bristlenose in a cave so hopefully he may well be looking after a batch of eggs . On the house front I have nearly finished the wiring with just the kitchen ring main to do and the cooker wire to run. This afternoon I will be screeding the kitchen floor then tomorow will be plaster boarding the kitchen and hopefully the plasterers will be in over the weekend to plaster the kitchen Then its all go on Sunday to move my kitchen units in and get the lounge ready for plastering. Next week it will be upstairs to put the floors down, insulate the loft and fit my new bathroom.
Aug 15th: Will be ordering a new batch of Bettas in for next week so if anyone wants anything specific please let me know. Currently working on my house laying sound proofing in the floor and putting up some 52mm tri line plaster board. Not had time yet to appreciate my new additions to my stock LO46 Zebra plecs.
Aug 2nd: Noticed a couple of Bettas that i havent photographed will try to do them today. Very cramped in my fishroom now that the Bettas are back in there. Starting to draw up plans to extend the fish room. Angel fish are doing really well at the moment and have lots growing on nincluding platinums, silvers and black marble. Just putting another pair in the fishroom from my main tank indoors. Altum angels growing really well in the fishroom. just bought a load of plants to grow on in the tanks near the top of the fiush room and have potted tham as the tanks are bare bottom. These are for the Altum tank when i set it up in my new house. Pic below will be muy inspiration.
AUG 1st: Just uploaded July imports to the main site with lots arleady gone to my subscribers. Gutted that came 4th yesterday howveer Button winning was the next best thing. Picked up the kitchen for my new hosue but wont be installing it yet. Working in my new house but i will be instantly available for texts and selling.
July 31st : Busy day today few more bettas to photograph in between picking up a kitchen for my new house and watching Lewis hamilton win the hungarian grand prix (fingers crossed)
July 30th: Huge problems taking photos of the new Bettas. camera not working properly meant that I didnt get the pics on till late. Good response from the mailchimp drop and busy with texts till very late.
July 29th: My blog is officially like a bus service. Not updated for a while and then suddenly two posts in one day. I have just got back form picking up a new batch of male Bettas and a few pairs and i have to say they are a stunning batch. I have colours that ive not had before so keep your eye on the stock list
July 29th: Apologies for the length of time that it has taken to update the blog but I have been extremely busy working on the new house I am building This has meant working hours and hours in the evening after my job and consequently I have had no time to update . I am now on holiday for six weeks so things may ease a little as I have all day to work on the house and the evenings to concentrate on getting back in front with the website and blog. I have a new import batch due in today and as usual these will be offered to my subscribers first.
